My story is like most people’s – I was in a career that paid well, but I didn’t find the work fulfilling. I had struggled with my weight since I was in my teens and yo-yoed throughout my adult life. I was a full-time, working mom to two amazing kids, and I put my health last.  After many failed diets, I finally decided to make some real changes to help fight back against a family history of heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. In 2017, I joined a popular weight loss program and successfully lost 65 lbs. in one year.  I had never felt better!  However, career and personal struggles the following year, left me completely drained and with extra weight by the Fall of 2019.  I knew I had to make some changes, but I didn’t know what exactly.

Then, one night while I was mindlessly scrolling through social media, I stumbled upon Jay Shetty’s podcast On Purpose.  One listen and it tilted the axis of my world.  I realized that’s what I was missing – a purposeful career.  I had found so much meaning in being a mother, but I knew something inside of me was missing, as I had grown deeply unhappy in the Architecture and Construction field.  Over the next few months, I became immersed in health and wellness books and podcasts and could not get enough.

By February of 2020, I had left my career as a Project/Business Development Manager and enrolled in the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy to become a Certified Health Coach.  This was the best decision I have ever made.  I knew my purpose in life was to help others who struggled with the same things I did:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Weight gain

  • Thyroid issues

  • Sleep struggles

  • Fatigue

  • Work/Life balance

  • Loss of excitement for life

It was through creating new food and lifestyle habits, that I have been able to take control of my mental and physical fitness. During the pandemic, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and managed multiple life transitions because I maintained and refined these habits.  I knew that in order for me to have true BALANCE in my life, I needed to look at all the areas and make small changes every day.  I have more energy than ever and a zestful hope for life that had been missing for a very long time.

I want to spread my enthusiasm for life with others and support them on their journeys.

My love of learning and desire to help others has led me to continuously educate myself and attain new certifications.  For a full list, click here.
